師與長慶舉石鞏接三平話，師云：「作麼生道，免得石鞏喚作半箇聖人？」慶云：「若不還價，爭辨真偽。」師云：「入水見長人。」

The Master and Changqing brought up the story of Shigong receiving Sanping. The Master said, "How should one speak so as to avoid Shigong calling one half a sage?" Changqing said, "If one does not bargain, how can one distinguish the true from the false?" The Master said, "Entering the water, one sees the tall person."
