師到洞巖，巖問：「作什麼來？」師云：「親近來。」巖云：「亂走作什麼？」師云：「暫時不在。」巖云：「知過即得。」師云：「和尚亂走作什麼？」

The Master arrived at Dongyan. Yan asked, "What have you come to do?" The Master said, "I have come to associate closely." Yan said, "Why are you running around wildly?" The Master said, "I was temporarily away." Yan said, "Knowing your fault will do." The Master said, "Why is the upādhyāya running around wildly?"
