師到虔州處微，處微問云：「汝名甚麼？」師云：「慧寂。」處微云：「那箇是慧？那箇是寂？」師云：「祇在目前。」處微云：「猶有前後在。」師云：「前後且置，和尚見箇甚麼？」處微云：「喫茶去。」

The Master arrived at Chuwei's place in Qianzhou. Chuwei asked, "What is your name?"
The Master said, "Huiji."
Chuwei said, "Which one is 'Hui' (Wisdom)? Which one is 'Ji' (Silence)?"
The Master said, "Right before your eyes."
Chuwei said, "There is still before and after."
The Master said, "Setting aside before and after for the moment, what does the Upādhyāya see?"
Chuwei said, "Go drink some tea."
