師携拄杖行次。僧問：「和尚手中是甚麼？」師便拈向背後云：「見麼？」僧無對。

While the Master was walking carrying his staff, a monk asked, "What is that in the upādhyāya's hand?" The Master held it behind his back and said, "Do you see?" The monk had no reply.
