江南相馮延巳，與數僧遊鍾山，至一人泉，問：「一人泉，許多人爭得足？」一僧對云：「不教欠少。」延已不肯，乃別云：「誰人欠少？」師別云：「誰是不足者？」

Feng Yanji, the chancellor of Jiangnan, was touring Mount Zhong with several monks. Arriving at the One-Person Spring, he asked, "At the One-Person Spring, how can so many people find it sufficient?" One monk replied, "It causes no lack." Yanji did not accept this, and said alternatively, "Who lacks anything?" The Master spoke alternatively: "Who is the one that is insufficient?"
