師云：「只將此四轉語，驗天下衲僧，纔見爾出來，驗得了也。」問：「如何是學人著力處？」師云：「嘉州打大像。」「如何是學人轉身處？」師云：「陝府灌鐵牛。」「如何是學人親切處？」師云：「西河弄師子。」

The Master said: "Merely taking these four turning phrases to test the patch-robed monks of the world, no sooner do I see you come forward than the testing is already complete." A monk asked: "Where is the student's place to exert effort?" The Master said: "Beating the great statue at Jiazhou." "Where is the student's place of turning around?" The Master said: "Casting the iron ox at Shanfu." "Where is the student's intimate place?" The Master said: "Playing with the lion in Xihe."
