入院高茅總不疑，都緣未達祖師機，妄空學問爭長短，虛記閒詞一肚皮。大地山河君可別，報云不別恰如癡，當人被息狂迷者，見成舉指不楊岐。

Entering the monastery and looking at the thatched eaves, he had no doubt at all; / All because he had not yet reached the Patriarch's mechanism. / Vainly emptifying scholarship, contending over high and low; / Uselessly memorizing idle phrases to fill a whole belly. / 'The great earth, mountains, and rivers—can you distinguish them?' / When he replied, 'Not distinct,' he was just like a fool. / When one has calmed their wild delusion, / In plain view, holding up fingers does not imitate Yangqi.
