古德垂慈力未酬，纔聞異相便爭牛，聲前句後明玄旨，失却溈山見不週，且與同袍通一線，蘆花雪覆菊當秋。

"The ancient worthy showed compassion, his work not yet repaid; / As soon as they heard of the different form, they fought over the ox. / Clarifying the mysterious purport before sound and after phrases, / They lost Guishan, their vision not comprehensive. / For now, I open a single thread with my fellow robes: / Reed flowers are covered in snow, chrysanthemums facing autumn."
