2.163

雪峯負一束藤，路逢一僧，便拋下，僧擬取，峯便蹈倒。歸，舉似長生，乃云：「我今日蹈者僧甚快。」生云：「和尚替這僧入涅槃堂始得。」峯休去。

Xuefeng was carrying a bundle of rattan. Meeting a monk on the road, he threw it down. As the monk intended to pick it up, Xuefeng trampled him over. Upon returning, he brought it up to Changsheng and said, "Trampling that monk today was extremely pleasant!"
Sheng said, "The Venerable would have to enter the Nirvāṇa Hall on that monk's behalf for it to be right."
Xuefeng let the matter rest.
