「僧問雪峯：『拈槌豎拂不當，未審和尚如何？』峯竪起拂子，僧抱頭出去。」代云：「可惜許，一員戰將。」

"A monk asked Xuefeng, 'Taking up the gavel and raising the whisk is not appropriate; I wonder how the Venerable does it?' Xuefeng held up his whisk. The monk held his head and went out." Replacing [the original words], he said, "What a pity—a fine warrior!"
