道吾忽爾見先師，問字開拳顯妙機，對佛是真真是佛，藥山為破句中疑，狂風纔起香林動，正是波中拾礫時。

Daowu suddenly met his late master; / Asking of the character, opening his fist, revealing the subtle dynamic. / Replying 'Buddha' is real, and the real is Buddha; / Yaoshan shatters the doubt within the phrase. / Just as the fierce wind arises, the fragrant grove stirs; / This is precisely the time to pick up pebbles in the waves.
