僧問鏡清：「祖歌如何唱？」清云：「拋送醉人酒。」云：「恁麼則辜負和尚。」清云：「猛虎不喫伏肉。」

A monk asked Jingqing: "How does one sing the Patriarch's song?" Jingqing said: "Tossing and serving wine to a drunken person." The monk said: "If so, then I let the Venerable down." Jingqing said: "A fierce tiger does not eat meat from a prone carcass."
