對眾橫身問祖歌，師云拋送醉和和，猶言未肯剛瞠眼，伏肉無緣更喫多。

Facing the assembly, he stood sideways and asked about the Patriarch's song; / The Master said, 'Tossing and serving wine to a drunken, merry person.' / Still saying he refused to assent, he stubbornly stared wide-eyed; / The prone meat offers no occasion to eat any more.
