上堂，云：「古者道：凡聖情盡，體露真常，但離妄緣，即如如佛。咄！是何言歟？」下座。

Ascending the hall, he said: "An ancient said, 'When ordinary and holy feelings are exhausted, the substance reveals true constancy; merely departing from false conditions, one is just the tathatā Buddha.' Bah! What kind of talk is that?" He descended from the seat.
