聖節上堂，云：「斯辰今上皇帝慶誕之日，普天皆賀，率土欽崇。堯天舜德，同日月以齊明；玉葉金枝，共山河而永固。恩憐萬國、澤降他邦，獄無宿禁之囚、馬共牛羊之洞，修文偃武，罷息干戈，萬民鑿井而飲、百姓自耕而食，家國晏然，事無不可。」下座。

Ascending the hall on the Imperial Birthday, he said: "This day is the celebration of the birthday of the reigning Emperor. The whole world offers congratulations, and all within the bounds revere him. The sky of Yao and the virtue of Shun equal the sun and moon in simultaneous brilliance; the jade leaves and golden branches will endure forever with the mountains and rivers. Kindness and pity extend to myriad countries, and grace descends upon other states. In the prisons there are no convicts held overnight, and horses share caves with cattle and sheep. Cultivating civil arts and halting military arms, weapons of war are put to rest. The ten thousand people dig wells to drink, and the common folk plow for themselves to eat. The family and the state are peaceful, and in all matters nothing is amiss." He descended from the seat.
