上堂，拍禪床云：「大眾！釣竿斫盡重栽竹，不計功程得便休。」

Ascending the hall, he struck the meditation bed and said: “Assembly! Having chopped up all the fishing poles, plant bamboo anew; without counting the labor and time, rest as soon as it is achieved.”
