上堂，云：「朝晴夜雨，民歡卒土，瞿曇老人，未有後語。雲蓋今日為大眾舉。」良久云：「太平本是將軍致，不許將軍見太平。」

Ascending the hall, he said: “Clear morning and rainy night, the people across the land rejoice; the old man Gautama does not yet have a final word. Yungai will bring it up for the assembly today.” After a long pause, he said: “Peace was originally brought about by the general, yet the general is not permitted to see the peace.”
