解夏上堂云：「九旬三箇月，彈指瞥然間，忙者直然忙，閑者直然閑，事事無窮盡，千古白雲山。」

Ascending the hall at the conclusion of the summer retreat, he said: "Ninety days, three months, / In the snap of a finger, in the blink of an eye. / The busy are simply busy; / The idle are simply idle. / Affairs are without end; / For a thousand ages stands Mount Baiyun."
