1.55

上堂云：「山僧今日，將山河大地，盡作黃金□，該有情無情，總令成佛去，然後太平不入者保社。何故？爭之不足，讓之有餘。」

Ascending the hall, he said: "Today this mountain monk takes mountains, rivers, and the great earth, making them completely into golden [...], encompassing the sentient and insentient, causing them all to become Buddhas; and thereafter Taiping will not enter this village community. Why so? In contending there is not enough; in yielding there is plenty."
