上堂云：「說禪被禪纏，不說却成現，若真箇不說，真箇好方便。如馬前相撲，似霹靂閃電，會即大富貴，不會空對面。」

Ascending the hall, he said, "Speak of Chan and you are bound by Chan; do not speak, and it manifests naturally. If you truly do not speak, it is truly a wonderful expedient. Like wrestling before a galloping horse, like a crack of thunder and a flash of lightning: understand it and you have great wealth and honour; fail to understand, and you confront it in vain."
