上堂云：「夫為出家之人，須有出家之見，具擇法眼，方為出家。如何是擇法眼？破燈盞。畢竟如何？擔板擔板。」

Ascending the hall, he said: "One who leaves the household must have the vision of leaving the household; only when one possesses the eye for discerning the Dharma can one be said to have left the household. What is the eye for discerning the Dharma? A broken lamp dish. Ultimately, what about it? Carrying a board, carrying a board!"
