問僧：「甚處受業？」僧云：「天章。」師云：「將得蘭亭記來麼？」僧云：「爭敢呈似和尚。」師云：「草本不勞拈出。」

He asked a monk, "Where were you tonsured?" The monk said, "Tianzhang." The Master said, "Have you brought the Lanting record?" The monk said, "How could I dare present it to the Upādhyāya?" The Master said, "There is no need to bring out a draft copy."
