上堂云：「世事悠悠，不如山丘臥藤蘿下塊石枕頭，者般底有甚用處？喚起了打。」
Ascending the hall, he said: "Worldly affairs are boundless and fleeting; it is not as good as lying down under wisteria vines in the hills, pillowed on a rock. What use is this sort of fellow? Call him up and beat him!"
