上堂云：「一切法皆是佛法，瞞瞞頇頇非為正觀；一切法即非一切法，莽莽鹵鹵還同天鼓。賞箇名、安箇是、立箇非，向甚處見釋迦老子。還會麼？」以拄杖卓地一下云：「各請歸堂。」

Ascending the hall, he said: "'All dharmas are Buddhadharma'—muddled and undiscerning, this is not right contemplation. 'All dharmas are not all dharmas'—crude and careless, it is just like the heavenly drum. Conferring a name, establishing a 'right', setting up a 'wrong'—in what place will you see old Śākyamuni? Do you understand yet?" Striking the ground once with his staff, he said: "Please return to the hall, each of you."
