2.120

上堂云：「久雨不晴今日晴，衲僧曬了也未？」良久自云：「曬了也。」師云：「收。」復拈起拄杖，大眾定動，師云：「無一箇靈利。」便下座打趁。

Ascending the hall, he said: "It had rained for a long time without clearing, but today it is clear; have the patch-robed monks dried their things in the sun yet?" After a long pause, he said himself: "They have dried them." The Master said: "Gather them in!" He then raised his staff. The assembly stirred. The Master said: "Not a single sharp fellow!" He then stepped down from the seat and drove them out with blows.
