舉：「僧問鏡清：『學人啐，請師啄。』清云：『還得活也無？』學云：『若不活，遭人快笑。』清云：『也是草裏漢。』」師云：「衲僧有此奇特事，若一人半箇互相平展，古聖也不虛出來一迴。」

He brought up: "A monk asked Jingqing: 'The student pecks from within; please, Master, peck from without.' Qing said: 'Can you still be revived, or not?' The student said: 'If I am not revived, I will be ridiculed by others.' Qing said: 'Another fellow in the grass.'" The Master said: "Patch-robed monks have this extraordinary matter. If one person or half a person were to unfold it together, the ancient sages would not have emerged into the world in vain."
