上堂云：「欲得現前，莫存順逆，者裏參見祖師了，更買草鞋行脚，三千里外也被雪竇穿却鼻孔。」

Ascending the hall, he said, "If you wish to have it manifest before you, do not harbor favor or opposition. Having met and paid respects to the patriarchs here, if you further buy straw sandals and go traveling, even three thousand li away your nostrils will still be pierced by Xuedou."
