上堂云：「還有鬧市裏出頭底麼？」良久云：「不如策杖歸山去，長嘯一聲煙霧深。」便下座。

Ascending the hall, he said, "Is there anyone who pokes his head out in the noisy marketplace?" After a long pause, he said, "Better to lean on a staff and return to the mountains, letting out a long whistle where the mist and clouds are deep." Then he stepped down from his seat.
