上堂云：「糞掃堆上現丈六金身，遇賤則貴；赤肉團上壁立千仞，遇明則暗。鼻孔遼天底衲僧，試辯雪竇為人眼。」

Ascending the hall, he said: "Manifesting the sixteen-foot golden body upon a dung heap—encountering the base, it is noble. Standing like a thousand-fathom cliff upon a lump of red flesh—encountering brightness, it is dark. You patch-robed monks with nostrils piercing the sky, try to discern Xuedou's eye for helping people."
