舉：「僧問石霜：『三千里外遠聞石霜有箇不顧。』霜云：『是。』僧云：『只如萬像歷然，是顧不顧？』霜云：『我道不驚眾。』僧云：『不驚眾是不與萬像合，如何是不顧？』霜云：『遍界不曾藏。』」師拈云：「誰是不顧者？」

He brought up: "A monk asked Shishuang: 'From three thousand miles away, I have heard from afar that Shishuang has a "not paying attention".' Shishuang said: 'Yes.' The monk said: 'Just as the myriad forms are clearly evident, does one pay attention or not pay attention?' Shishuang said: 'I say: it does not startle the assembly.' The monk said: 'Not startling the assembly is not merging with the myriad forms; what is not paying attention?' Shishuang said: 'Throughout the entire realm, it has never been hidden.'" The Master brought this up and said: "Who is the one who does not pay attention?"
