2.74

一日上堂，眾方集，以拄杖橫按膝上云：「恁麼會得，瞎却天下人眼。」復拋下挂杖云：「救取一半。」便下座。

One day, ascending the hall, just as the assembly had gathered, the Master laid his staff horizontally across his knees and said, “If you understand it like this, it blinds the eyes of everyone in the world.” Then he threw down the staff and said, “Rescue half of it!” Then he stepped down from the seat.
