覺雄慧燈，記飲光滅，光聯不已，龍昌遽絕，善續者誰？梅峯之師，化偃二浙、聲流四維，大名無當，高讓太白，韜晦殊運，虛明曠索，歸休安巖，寒籠翠杉，我笑方外，華非類𠾑，郢工筆狂，梵儀頓舉，肩雲頂絲，秋蟾夜渚，靜應南軒兮相對時，空生未解兮聞斯語，開眸凝瞻，迅雷不及揜耳。

The lamp of wisdom of the Hero of Awakening / was extinguished upon recording Drinker of Light [Mahākāśyapa]. / The light connected without end; / at Longchang, it was suddenly cut off. / Who could skillfully continue it? / The master of Mei Peak. / His transformation subdued the two Zhe regions; / his reputation flowed in the four quarters. / His great fame had no equal; / his high modesty yielded to Taibai. / Concealing his light in an extraordinary course, / empty and bright, vast and searching. / Returning to rest at Anyan, / the cold enshrouds the emerald firs. / I laugh at those outside the realm: / flowers are not of the same kind. / The craftsman of Ying's brush was wild; / the Indian deportment was suddenly raised up. / Shoulders of clouds and crown of silk, / an autumn moon on a night islet. / Quietly responding at the southern porch when facing each other, / Subhūti had not yet understood hearing these words. / Opening eyes and gazing intently, / swift thunder leaves no time to cover the ears.
