或云：「有佛法處不得住，無佛法處急走過，趙州為什麼摘楊華？」代云：「更事多矣。」問僧：「更事多矣亦要商量。」代云：「莫教屈著。」

Or he would say: "Where there is Buddhadharma, one must not stay; where there is no Buddhadharma, run past quickly. Why did Zhaozhou pluck willow blossoms?" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "He has experienced much." He asked a monk: "'He has experienced much'—this also requires consideration." Speaking on their behalf, he said: "Do not cause an injustice."
