有時云：「明眼衲僧入門便話墮，三十年後誰是知音。」代云：「拂袖便出。」

At times he would say: "Clear-eyed patch-robed monks fall into words upon entering the gate. Thirty years from now, who will be one who knows the tone?" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "Flicking one's sleeves and walking straight out."
