或云：「舉一明三，為甚不著便？」代云：「作賊人心虛。」又云：「文殊起佛見法見，貶向二鐵圍山；衲僧起佛見法見，列在三條椽下；翠峯起佛見法見，誰敢覻著？」代云：「秤尺在手。」

Or he would say: "Bringing up one to illuminate three—why does it not hit the mark?" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "The heart of a thief is anxious." He also said: "When Mañjuśrī gave rise to views of Buddha and views of Dharma, he was exiled between the two Iron Surrounding Mountains. When a patch-robed monk gives rise to views of Buddha and views of Dharma, he ranks under the three rafters. When Cuifeng gives rise to views of Buddha and views of Dharma, who dares to look upon him?" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "The steelyard and ruler are in his hand."
