有時云：「收之一字，飲氣吞聲，作麼生辯？」代云：「衲子難瞞。」

At times he would say: "The single word 'withdrawn': swallowing one's breath and choking down one's voice—how do you discern it?" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "A patch-robed monk is difficult to deceive."
