上堂云：「不得春風華不開，箇箇道我會，會即且致，作麼生舉？」代云：「時人相師。」又云：「空劫已前徒指注，空劫之後錯商量。正當空劫，什麼人為主？」代云：「本是將軍致太平。」

Ascending the hall, he said: "'Without the spring breeze, the flowers do not bloom'—everyone says, 'I understand.' Setting understanding aside for a moment, how do you bring it up?" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "People of the world are masters of physiognomy." He also said: "Before the empty kalpa, pointing and gesturing is in vain; after the empty kalpa, deliberation is a mistake. Right in the midst of the empty kalpa, who is the master?" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "Originally it is the general who brings peace."
