開堂，拈疏示眾云：「靈山單傳密旨，曹溪嫡嗣正音，盡在箇裏。請表白拈出。」

Opening the hall, he held up the proclamation, showed it to the assembly, and said: "The secret directive uniquely transmitted on Vulture Peak, the authentic voice directly inherited from Caoxi—all of it is right here. I invite the rector to proclaim it."
