上堂云：「大人具大見，大智得大用，胸中懷六合，袖裏掛金鎚，高提祖印據寰中，萬里孤光長溢目，直得清風匝地雨灑長空，截斷兩頭歸家穩坐，所以道：『映眼時，若千日，萬象不能逃影質，凡夫只是未曾觀，何得自輕而退屈。』只如盡華藏世界海，窮虛空邊際，都盧是箇金剛眼，且作麼生觀？揉石渡頭風浪靜，三三兩兩釣魚船。」下座。

Ascending the hall, the Master said: "A great person possesses great vision; great wisdom attains great function. In the chest one embraces the six directions; in the sleeve hangs a golden mallet. Holding high the ancestral seal, one commands the realm; for ten thousand miles, a solitary radiance perpetually fills the eyes. Thus the pure breeze circles the earth and rain sprinkles the vast sky; severing both ends, one returns home to sit securely. Therefore it is said: 'When it reflects in the eyes, it is like a thousand suns; the myriad phenomena cannot escape their shadows and forms. Ordinary people simply have not yet observed it; why demean themselves and retreat?' Just as the entire ocean of worlds of the Flower Store and to the utter limits of empty space are altogether a single diamond eye, how do you observe it? At the Roushi Ferry, the wind and waves are calm; three by three, two by two, the fishing boats." He stepped down from the seat.
