踏著實地到安穩處，時中無虛棄底工夫，綿綿不漏絲毫，湛寂凝然，佛祖莫能知，魔外無捉摸，是自住無所住大解脫。雖歷無窮劫，亦只如如地，況復諸緣邪？安住是中，方可建立，與人抽釘拔楔，亦只令渠無住著去。此謂之大事因緣。

Treading on solid ground and reaching a place of peace, within all times there is no wasted effort, continuous without leaking a single thread, clear, tranquil, and congealed, which Buddhas and patriarchs cannot fathom and demons or non-Buddhists have no way to grasp: this is the great liberation of abiding naturally without anywhere to abide. Even though passing through limitless kalpas, it is still just suchness—how much more so for the various conditions? Abiding peacefully within this, only then can one establish [teachings] and pull out nails and draw out pegs for others, merely causing them to go on without any attachments. This is called the great matter of cause and condition.
