16.48

舉：「雲門示眾云：『爾若實未得箇入頭處，三世諸佛在爾脚跟下，一大藏教在爾舌頭上，且向葛藤處會取。』」師云：「崇寧土上加泥，敢道：直得溈山水牯，觸殺東海鯉魚，陝府鐵牛，吞却嘉州大像。」

[The Master] cited: "Yunmen instructed the assembly, saying, 'If you really have not yet obtained an entry point, the Buddhas of the three periods are under your heels, and the entire great canon of teachings is on your tongue; just understand it at the place of entanglements.'" The Master said, "Chongning adds mud onto earth, daring to say: this directly causes Guishan's water ox to gore to death the carp of the Eastern Sea, and the Iron Ox of Shan Prefecture to swallow down the Great Elephant of Jia Prefecture."
