父母未生前，生也只如然，一般拈掇能，奇巧直下渾，如火裏蓮，騰今煥古，極妙窮玄。大可憐，清風長滿座，一萬八千年。

Before parents gave birth, / and being born—it is just like this. / Uniformly holding it up and handling it, / remarkably clever, completely unified right underfoot, / like a lotus in the fire: / ascending from the past and brightening the present, / supremely marvelous, exhausting the dark mystery. / Most delightful: / pure wind constantly fills the seats / for eighteen thousand years.
