19.101

舉：「世尊於一處九旬安居，至自恣日文殊倏來，迦葉問：『今夏在何處安居？』文殊云：『在三處安居。』迦葉於是白眾欲擯文殊出，纔舉犍槌，乃見無量佛剎，一一佛所有一一文殊，一一迦葉舉槌欲擯之。世尊於是告迦葉云：『汝今欲擯出那箇文殊？』」

He cited: "The World-Honoured One observed the ninety-day retreat in one place. On the day of pravāraṇā, Mañjuśrī suddenly arrived. Kāśyapa asked: 'Where did you spend the retreat this summer?' Mañjuśrī said: 'I spent the retreat in three places.' Kāśyapa thereupon addressed the assembly, wishing to expel Mañjuśrī. Just as he raised the mallet, he saw immeasurable Buddha-lands, in each and every Buddha's place there was a Mañjuśrī, and in each a Kāśyapa raising a mallet, wishing to expel him. The World-Honoured One thereupon said to Kāśyapa: 'Which Mañjuśrī do you wish to expel now?'"
