舉：「巖頭示眾云：『涅槃經道：吾教意如塗毒鼓，擊著遠近聞者皆喪。』僧問：『如何是塗毒鼓？』頭亞身云：『韓信臨朝底。』」
He cited: "Yantou instructed the assembly, saying: 'The Nirvāṇa Sūtra says: The intent of my teaching is like a poison-smeared drum; when it is struck, those who hear it near and far all perish.' A monk asked: 'What is the poison-smeared drum?' Yantou leaned his body down and said: 'Han Xin attending court.'"
