生以不生生，死以不死死，根本豁然明，應時超佛祖。隨宜離散與和合，十字縱橫活鱍鱍，金剛寶劍倚天寒，外道天魔皆膽慴。

Birth takes non-birth as birth; / Death takes non-death as death. / The root is thoroughly clear; / In an instant, surpassing buddhas and patriarchs. / Dispersing and combining according to what is suitable; / Crisscrossing freely, lively and leaping! / The diamond jewel sword rests against heaven, cold; / Non-Buddhists and heavenly demons all tremble with fear.
