舉：「溈山問仰山云：『天寒人寒。』仰山云：『大家在這裏。』溈山云：『何不直說？』仰山云：『適來也不曲，和尚如何？』溈山云：『且須隨流。』」

He cited: "Guishan asked Yangshan, saying: 'The weather is cold; people are cold.' Yangshan said: 'Everyone is right here.' Guishan said: 'Why not speak straight out?' Yangshan said: 'Just now was not crooked either; how about you, Venerable Sir?' Guishan said: 'For now one must follow the stream.'"
