舉：「雲門示眾云：『聞聲悟道，見色明心，作麼生是聞聲悟道見色明心？』舉手云：『觀世音菩薩將錢來買胡餅，放下手元來却是饅頭。』」
He cited: "Yunmen instructed the assembly, saying: 'Hearing sounds one awakens to the Way; seeing forms one clarifies the mind. What is hearing sounds and awakening to the Way, seeing forms and clarifying the mind?' Raising his hand, he said: 'Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara brings money to buy a sesame cake; dropping the hand, it turns out to be a steamed bun.'"
