舉：「雪峯問僧：『近離甚處？』僧云：『覆船。』峯云：『生死海未渡，為什麼覆却船？』僧無語，覆船代云：『渠無生死。』雪竇代云：『久響雪峯。』」

He cited: "Xuefeng asked a monk: 'Where did you leave recently?' The monk said: 'Fuchuan (Overturned Boat).' Xuefeng said: 'Not yet having crossed the ocean of birth and death, why did you overturn the boat?' The monk had no words. Fuchuan spoke on his behalf: 'He has no birth and death.' Xuedou spoke on his behalf: 'I have long echoed Xuefeng.'"
