衲衣逋峭活卓卓，片段殘雲籠巨嶽，壁立萬仞近不得，無佛無祖無棒喝，一口吸盡西江水，箇是圓悟當頭著。

Patched robe rugged and craggy, brisk and lively; / fragments of remnant clouds enveloping the towering mountain. / Standing like a wall of myriad fathoms, impossible to approach; / no Buddha, no patriarch, no stick, no shout. / Swallowing in a single gulp all the waters of the West River— / this is Yuanwu's head-on move.
