3.17

Recorded Sayings at Daolin. When receiving the invitation at Jiashan, the Master held up the notice and showed it to the assembly, saying: “Great assembly! Beyond the lakes there is an intimate friend; from a thousand miles away messages are conveyed. Penetrating beyond King of the Majestic Voice, who knows how to understand the truth of it? Do you know? Discern it right here! If not, then please read it out before the assembly.”
